Words in Color Pop Up Series

The first minute of this clip from Educational Solutions's Words in Color approach to beginning reading instruction will give you a rough idea as to how we initially introduce new letter/sound associations to our learners.

As you might imagine, we present the learner with a lowercase visual representation of the letter in isolation; inform the child as to the sound it "makes;" and have the youngster repeat the sound in responce.

(We do not mention the name of any letter until its sound is firmly established in the learner's mind.)
