Structural Features of Literature

Decide if the text is fiction, nonfiction, a novel, expository text, a play, an essay, or an article.

Things that are make-believe could never happen. Things that are real could.

3.2 Identify the main events of the plot, their causes, and the influence of each event on future actions.
